Who It's For

This is a 32 Hour course that is geared towards those who have limited or in some cases no knowledge of the cross connection and backflow requirements in Maryland. The class begins with an overview of just what a backflow preventer is and why it is needed. It doesn’t take long for a person to begin to understand the importance of the training.  
We start with the very basic information that a person needs in order to be sure that no student is left behind. After a short time, we move on to more advanced topics so we can cover everything necessary in order for everyone to be successful. If anyone in the class feels that they need special attention, we will do everything we can to answer all of your questions.  
We want this to be a positive learning experience for you.  

What We Cover

The morning sessions will be in the classroom, while the afternoon sessions will be dedicated to hands-on training working with the actual Backflow Preventers you will see in the field. This is the part of the class that most everybody likes the most about the training. 
On the last day of class, students take a written examination in order to get certification. Don’t worry about the examination. You will be graded on the hands-on training as well as a written examination and class participation. You will not pass nor fail the course based on your written examination alone.
